No fan staying in Gdansk during the UEFA EURO 2012 Tournament can miss the Gdansk Fan Zone! The Zone is located on the Zebrań Ludowych Square and it can hold up to 30 thousand fans per event!
The zone will allow you to watch every match played on tournament’s stadiums. Moreover, many concerts of Polish and foreign stars will be hosted by the Zone. It is also an opportunity to get to know the cultural heritage of the city and the entire region. The zone will host typical regional performances, concerts and shows on days when no matches are held. They will be accompanied by animation and contests. On no match days the hosts also plan two or three concerts that will require ticket purchases. Some of the greatest foreign stars will be performing.
The following have been planned for the Fan Zone: the Prestige Zone (available at extra charge) in a space specially designed in the form of footballs with an excellent view at the main square and the wall screen; the Comfort Zone – for fans who would like to watch the matches together but do not enjoy overcrowded areas; sporting activity zone – equipped with mini-areas for playing football or volleyball as well as computer game consoles and hosting numerous contests; the food court zone – including 41 catering outlets; The Media Center – prepared specially for journalists; the official UEFA EURO 2012 gift shop; the zone of regional attractions and local cuisine and the sanitary facilities that will include 200 lavatories and 20 washrooms.
The Zone is located in a place well connected to the rest of the city. Zwycięstwa Avenue, the main communication artery of Gdansk, is located right next to the square on which the Fan Zone will stand. This location facilitates direct bus, tram and car transport. The Zone is located approximately a 40 minute ride away from the stadium. Railway infrastructure including a Fast Urban Railway Line, the Main Railway Station (PKP), The Bus Station and the centre of the city are all located in the vicinity.

Remember that when flying – no matter if the flight is inside or outside Poland – you must have an ID document to present to the airport staff. To enter the Schengen territory, citizens of third countries must have a valid travel document and visa if required.
Tickets to the UEFA EURO 2012 games can only be purchased through the following website www.uefa.com, National Football Federations, or won in competitions organised by the official sponsors of the Tournament.
For the comfort of tourists from EU countries, the movement of organised groups of fans, football teams and UEFA activists will be facilitated on the four border crossings between Poland and Ukraine during UEFA EURO 2012™.
The ban on drinking alcohol in public places, possession of a knife or other dangerous items, the entry to a football match of a minor without a guardian – are just some of the regulations in force in Poland.
Choose the genuine logo and high quality licensed UEFA EURO 2012™ products. When you buy counterfeit goods you are agreeing to breaking the law and to the low quality of such goods.
Take care of your health when in Poland during UEFA EURO 2012. The sanitary and epidemiological rules are very similar to what you are used to back home.
